Dragonfish

Dragonfish: one of the coolest fish in the midnight zone. Its bioluminescence helps it attract its prey. Also, it has a red light under its eye that makes it invisible to us, it's prey, and its enemies.  That's why you cannot see the red light that I told you about.  Now you're probably wondering what that thing hanging  from the bottom of it's jaw might be. It is a bioluminescent lure that helps it attract it's prey. A Dragonfish is 12.6 inches long.  If you were a 3 inch long Hermit Crab then a Dragonfish would look like a monster to you.  If I learn more about them, then I will write another post about them. There is very little known about them due to how far below the ocean level that they live.
